C.V.
(aka my admissions story)

I want to crack the code on college admissions as much as you do. In fact, I've been at it for decades.

It didn't hurt that I was raised on university campuses, so literally in the ivory tower. However, my experience in faculty and admissions roles--not osmosis--has prepared me to be your admissions docent.

- Faculty -

I taught hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students during my time in the classroom at the University of Kentucky, Emory University, and the Goizueta Business School. It's no wonder teaching is at the heart of my college advising practice. I approach each student and family where they are in the admissions process and guide them through an organized, well-crafted, thoughtful admissions experience.

- Admissions -

I also served in leading admissions roles in undergraduate and MBA admissions while at Emory University. Admissions work drew on my teaching background and provided me a new way of interacting with and advising students, which I explore in this Inside Higher Ed opinion pieceMost importantly, I learned a lot about highly selective college admissions.

- Your docent -

I live with my husband and daughter in Atlanta, GA, where we enjoy spending time with family and cheering on the Braves. When I am not co-leading my daughter’s Girl Scout troop or volunteering at her school, I also enjoy reading, traveling, and gardening.

What does all of this mean for you?

I bring my personal and professional experience straight to you by offering the families I support the highest-quality, strategic, student-focused guidance.

In other words: My educational pursuits are now in service of yours.

TL:DR

- I was kind of born for this job

- I spent roughly 20 years in the classroom and at the admissions table of two major research universities

- I root for the Braves and volunteer a lot
